Some stories
deserve to be told.
White Horse Letter Co. was born from family tradition, a stack of wartime letters, and a belief that the most meaningful stories must be shared.
White Horse Antiques,
Established 1968.
My grandparents opened White Horse Antiques in Virginia in 1968. It was the kind of place where history had a home, where objects held stories and the past was something you could pick up and turn over in your hands.
I grew up surrounded by the idea that history matters. That what came before us is worth preserving, worth understanding, and worth passing on.
When I sat down to build this company, there was only ever one name it could have.
He wrote to her
from the front lines.
During World War II, my grandfather wrote letters home to my grandmother from the European Front. She kept his. He kept hers.
Those letters, fragile, intimate, written in the middle of the most uncertain time in history, became the foundation of Yours, Always, our third series.
That photograph of him at his desk, her portrait propped beside him, that's where White Horse Letter Co. really begins.
The best love stories are the ones that actually happened.
I've spent much of my career telling stories through screens. White Horse Letter Co. grew from a desire to create something different: stories that arrive in the real world.
The company takes its name from my grandparents' business, White Horse Antiques. Growing up around that store taught me that some things are worth keeping, because they meant something to someone.
My hope is that the letters we send become the sort of things people save in a drawer, revisit years later, and remember where they were when they first opened them.
